Main responsibilities
- Plan the verification and inspection of parts to facilitate assembly, welding, painting and loading of parts
- Ensure that his measuring tapes, squares and other measuring instruments are calibrated and recorded on the calibration list
- Check the dimensions of assembled and drilled parts before welding and painting
- Visually inspect the weld according to the contract
- Identify all parts classified as non-compliant
- Complete the non-compliance report
- Follow up on each manufacturing contract by performing a final check of the various verification stages
- Check the positioning and safe dimensions of the tacks
- Make the necessary recommendations to the assemblers
- Save all ID tags
Required skills
- Training in assembly of metal structures or the equivalent
- Possess excellent plan reading
- Knowledge of applicable steel terms and welding symbols
- Master the various measuring instruments
- Be comfortable interpreting angles and directions
- Precision, versatility and good management of needs
- Ability to convert imperial and metric measurements
- Be comfortable interpreting angles and directions
