In this position, you will have to:
- Review manufacturing priorities posted at designated locations
- Inform the foreman as soon as possible of any existing or potential manufacturing constraints
- Transport certain parts to the workstation manually or using the overhead bridge crane
- Check and approve hole and part size before assembly
- Assemble and jog each part according to shop drawings and manufacturing instructions, then grind some parts as required
- Enter the necessary information on the part for welding and painting operations
- Register all identification labels of final assembled parts
- Perform other related tasks
Required skills:
- Completion of a recognized course in reading shop drawings and/or DEP in metal structure assembly
- Proficiency in reading plans and drawings
- Good knowledge of the various measuring instruments
- Ease in interpreting angles and directions
- Attention to detail and discipline
- Ability to multitask
