Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

The project required no less than 5075 tons of steel for a total surface area of 345,000 square feet, requiring 2 tower cranes to erect the structure. The complexity of the project lay in the installation of huge cantilever beams, which necessitated the use of the existing roof of the neighbouring building during erection. This new 11-storey patient facility, with a total value of 534 million, added a radiology floor, a surgical floor (128 rooms), conference rooms, a patio terrace and a medical helicopter landing pad.
